Cornerstone is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The board is a national body which contributes towards providing stress-free, student-centered and holistic education to all children, without compromising on quality, thereby, achieve excellence in all aspects of education.





IX and X classes


The school follows the CBSE syllabus and provides curriculum of learning as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in IX and X classes, with English as the medium of instruction.

The School follows a curriculum which blends academic, social, emotional and aesthetic intelligence and is designed to meet the needs of young children. The main focus is on the development of the required skills and competencies such as problem-solving, critical thinking and creative thinking necessary to explore the world around. The curriculum emphasizes on gaining proficiency in comprehension and communication skills, along with constant encouragement towards extracurricular activities.

Academics at the primary and middle school levels is well-designed to ensure the maximum possible learning and to impart the best information from different publications, adhering to NCERT norms. As per the guidelines of the Telangana Government,  Telugu learning has been made mandatory in all CBSE schools. In this regard, the school introduces Communicative Telugu,  for students entering Grades 1,2, 6 & 7.

The faculty members use different & innovative teaching techniques such as introductory and reinforcement activities, role plays, quizzes, debates, use of audio-visual aids, individual/ group topic-based projects, group discussions, field trips, which ensure proper and effective learning among students. Field Trips are an integral part of academics at Cornerstone. They help children to gain practical knowledge and valuable lessons. The assistance of upgraded technology and user-friendly interfaces for effective learning has been endorsed at Cornerstone. A large interactive board in every classroom and a dedicated e-server, replete with pedagogical content and high-end animated videos, provide a perfect learning ambience in the classrooms. The teachers have an advantage of providing students a demonstrative training and hence, build curiosity for learning in students.

The school believes that childhood should not be lost in academics & learning should be a joy, and not a burden. So, students till Grade 2 have minimal home assignment, and thereafter, homework is assigned in not more than two subjects per day, thereby giving the students enough leisure time to pursue their interests.

In a rapidly changing society, effective interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and skills in communication are essential for personal,social and educational fulfillment. The ability to think critically, to apply learning and to develop flexibility and creativity are also important factors in the success of the child’s life. The curriculum plays a particular emphasis on promoting these skills and abilities so that children may cope successfully with change.


It is an underlying principle of the curriculum that the child should be an active agent in his or her own learning. The structure and content of the curriculum are designed to provide opportunities for active engagement in a wide range of learning experiences and to encourage children to respond in a variety of ways.


The curriculum is learner-centered. It emphasizes the importance of literacy, numeracy, and language, while at the same time responding to changing needs in science and technology, social personal and health education and citizenship.
